1 Thought:
We all have goals, both short term and long term. An often told analogy is the story that the pilot and the flight you’re on lets say from Atlanta to Chicago is off course about 90% of the flight but somehow always lands right where its intended.
I think the above analogy represents the fact that if we have a target we, despite wind, challenges, surprises, etc, we can land right where we wanted to be.
As the visual header represents the finest of archers or marksman can site in and take that needed breath out to steady the aim and make the cleanest of shots but if pointed the wrong direction serves little purpose.
You must have clarity.
I believe my last blog post also referenced Stephen Covey but to “begin with the end in mind” is just the most amazing advice.
How can you apply this practice???
If you don’t truly know what and where you want to go then how can you take all the necessary steps/ actions to make it happen?
What is the why, the target? Once you know that answer list all the steps required to hit that target.
Elimination. Other things, tasks, ideas surface daily. If any of the prior aren’t bringing you closer to your end game then simply “don’t do it”.

Stick to your guns and believe in your goal. Be committed to your goal and eliminate anything and everything that isn’t in-line with your goal.
initiate standards. Create and never veer from your plan. Critique and grade every day. I have made a practice to religiously almost “white paper” each and every day of my life for over 20+ years. Learn from both the ups as well as downs.
Ultimately if you not only know where you want to go but are committed to getting there, you will get yourself back on target and make the needed adjustments.
Off track isn’t something to be scared of, expect it.

1 Question:
The difference between having a goal and being committed to a target aren’t the same. Ask yourself if you are 100%, not 99%, committed to your goals.
Be committed!
